QR Code for PDF

Today you can point an editable Link QR at a stable public PDF URL. Hosted PDF uploads are still being validated and are not offered yet.

Choose who should host the PDF

The current workflow links to a public PDF URL in storage you control. Hosted PDF replacement from the DirQR workspace is a planned capability, not a current feature. A dynamic Link QR keeps the printed short link fixed while you update its public PDF destination.

Use a stable public file

A scan should not land on a login screen or an expired sharing token. Test the PDF signed out, on mobile data, and on more than one phone before approving the print run.

Check the document after every update

After replacing a file or changing its URL, scan the physical proof again. Confirm the document title, revision date, mobile readability, and download size before relying on the printed code.

Frequently asked questions

Can I replace a PDF after printing the QR code?
Yes, when the QR code is dynamic. Replace the hosted file or update the short link destination, then test the same printed QR again.
Should a QR code point directly to a cloud sharing link?
Only when the link is public, stable, and does not expire. Test it while signed out and on another device before printing.
