What we collect
When you create an account we store the email address you sign in with. When you create a dynamic QR code we store its short code, the destination URL, and the revision history of destination changes. When someone scans a dynamic code we record a scan event at the redirect edge, including coarse signals such as approximate country and device type.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 on our website pages to understand which pages and features are used, which sets analytics cookies in your browser. This measures usage of the DirQR site itself. Scans of your dynamic codes are recorded separately at the redirect edge and are not tied to Google Analytics.
What we do not do
We do not inject ads or interstitial pages into redirects. We do not sell scan data. We keep scan analytics deliberately basic and do not build cross-site profiles of the people who scan your codes.
Where data lives
Account and QR data are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Scan events are written to Cloudflare Analytics Engine. Redirects run on Cloudflare Workers.
Your choices
You can change a dynamic code's destination at any time. To request deletion of your account or a specific code, contact us through the report form and describe your request.
